This policy explains how the Android application Video Compressor: Reduce Size ("the app") handles information. The app is published by TEMA SKY BİLİŞİM Ltd. ("we", "us"), Adana, Türkiye. It applies to the app only, not to any website or third-party service you reach from it.
Video processing — analysis, compression, trimming and saving — is performed entirely on your device using Android's built-in media encoder.
The app stores the following locally, in its own private storage. It is never transmitted to us, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data:
You can clear the history at any time from the History screen, and remove everything by clearing the app's data in Android settings.
| Permission | Why the app asks for it |
|---|---|
Photos and videos (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED, or storage on older Android versions) | To list your videos, read the ones you select, and save the compressed result to your gallery. You may grant access to selected videos only, or use the system picker without granting access at all. |
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) | To show compression progress while the app is in the background, tell you when a video is ready, and send occasional local tips. Optional — the app works without it. |
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, media processing / data sync) | To keep a compression you started running when you leave the app, so it is not killed mid-encode. |
| Internet and network state | Used only by Google Mobile Ads and Google Play Billing. No video data is sent over the network. |
Deleting an original video always requires your explicit confirmation through Android's own system dialog. On Android 11 and newer, deleted originals go to the system trash and can be restored for 30 days.
The app uses three Google services. Each has its own privacy policy, and each may process data such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, device model and app usage events.
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads in the free version, and measures ad performance | How Google uses data |
| Google Play Billing | Processes Pro subscriptions and the one-time purchase. Payment details are handled by Google; we never see your card information | Google Privacy Policy |
| Google Play In-App Review | Shows the rating dialog inside the app | Google Privacy Policy |
Buying any Pro plan removes all ads, and with them the ad-related data collection described above.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a Google-certified consent message the first time you open it, asking whether personalised ads may be used. Your answer is stored by Google's User Messaging Platform on your device. You can change it at any time in Settings › Ad privacy options.
Everywhere else, you can limit ad tracking through your device settings: Android Settings › Privacy › Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are configured so that ad content is suitable for a general audience. If you believe a child has provided information to a third-party service through the app, contact us and we will help you raise it with that provider.
Because we hold no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on request. All app data lives on your device. To erase it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Purchase records are held by Google Play and are governed by Google's policies; to review or cancel a subscription, go to Google Play › Subscriptions.
Your files stay in your device's own storage and in the app's private sandbox, protected by Android's security model. Since no content is transmitted, there is no transfer to intercept. No system is perfect, but the smallest attack surface is the one where data never travels.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the CCPA, Türkiye's KVKK or similar laws — including access, correction, deletion and objection to processing. As we do not collect or hold personal data, these rights mostly apply to the third-party services listed in section 5; their policies explain how to exercise them. You can always contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be described in the app's release notes on Google Play. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
